HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The new year is always a time of reflection for me. It is a time to make new decisions and sometimes set a new direction!

I hope that this new year will be the time some of our readers will decide to join NACCFA . The National Association of Christian Child & Family Agencies (NACCFA) achieves it’s goals of “Encouraging Excellence and Fostering Fellowship” by “Walking a M.I.L.E. with NACCFA. That is we encourage our members to “Mentor. Inform, Link and Edify” one another. We do that through this E-zine and through the Gatherings we hold through out the year.

Our first gathering will be on Wednesday, April 28th in Minneapolis, MN. We will also participate as part of the Alliance for Orphans Summit on April 29th & 30th. More details will follow, but our NACCFA Gatherings always leave our participants wanting more….so put it on your calendar now and plan to join us.

Speaking of joining, wouldn’t you like to make that part of your new direction for 2010. Following is a link to our Membership Application form and we have extended the year end rates through the month of January. Here is your opportunity to connect with others serving the children who make up our Lord’s Kingdom!

Membership Application

NACCFA's purpose is to provide its membership with a connection to others in similar Christian ministries. This connection provides opportunities to maintain and promote traditional, Judeo-Christian family values to Christ-centered ministries to children and families through the sharing and promotion of faith-based best practices.

The NACCFA organization has been a grass roots organization from its inception, and is today an organization dedicated to the needs of its members.

Members of the Board of Directors are all individuals with broad experiences in programs focused on children and families. Each understands what it means to lead an agency striving to serve God, whild maintaining a spirit of excellence in all programmatic aspects. NACCFA is evangelical in its theology, focused in its mission, and passionate in its pursuits.

All NACCFA activities, publications, programs, and initiatives are needs driven. NACCFA seeks to create systems that collectively support the needs of the membership, and also links more established agencies with newer agencies for guidance as well as mutual cooperation and collaboration.

We invite you to review what NACCFA has to offer, hoping that your agency will become a member of this association in order to link with other agencies and organizations dedicated to the cause of meeting the true needs of children and families across the country.

In addition to the relationships formed with other members and their agencies, members also benefit from the activities and actions of NACCFA. Each has been developed to meet the needs of a particular area of ministry.

Among those benefits are the following:

  • Increased credibility as a result of affiliating with a national organization designed and committed to meeting the needs of its members.

  • Prayer support through newsletters distributed among the NACCFA member agencies.

  • Listing on the NACCFA website that provides direction and information to those in need.

  • Consulting teams composed of experienced child and family workers who have been in the field. This benefit is available upon request.

  • Certificate of Membership for display to identify your association with others who display the NACCFA logo, a symbol of excellence among ministries working with families and children.

  • Linkage with like-minded colleagues.

  • Opportunities for sharing your knowledge with others to help in the effectiveness of their ministries.

  • National conferences and regional meetings designed to meet the needs of the membership.
